Almost twice the size of France, South Africa is the economic and industrial power house of the Sub-Saharan region. However, what impresses the most is the diversity of landscapes and breathtaking views along a coastline of almost 2,800 kilometers. Among them is the famous Garden Route in the direction of Port Elizabeth or the reserve of Cape Point, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. Wine lovers should not miss Stellenbosch with its world famous vineyards and Dutch colonial architecture. Once you take the scenic Route 62 you leave behind that mediterranean climate and start to see a Nevada-like desert and endless roads which will delight any avid driver. Surprisingly, all these places are just a few hours away from Cape Town.
