Spring of 2025. NATO conducted the brigade-level Scorpions Legacy 2025 exercise near the Romanian border with Ukraine, mobilising over 2,000 troops. Five nations moving as one. 

The land in the south is not like the Carpathians in the north. No forested hills. No twisting roads. Only flat plains that give speed to steel and tracks of mechanised forces.
